Ramsey County/City of St Paul Ski Passes
If you ski at any of our St Paul SkiSparks Clubs, you and/or your skier will likely need a pass!
- Battle Creek
- Como
- Highland 9 Golf Course
- Tamarack
- Lake Phalen
- Irondale (Rice Creek Trails)
Definitions
- Natural Snow Pass; Pass that allows you to ski on Natural Snow. Snow that falls from the sky without human assistance.
- Machine-made Snow; Snow made with "snow guns". Much of Battle Creek is manufactured snow.
- All-Access Pass; Pass that allows skiing on Natural Snow as well as Machine-made snow.
All-access pass
For the use of all natural snow ski trails plus the lighted machine made snow trails in the Battle Creek Regional Park.

Natural snow pass
Allows use of groomed natural snow cross country ski trails throughout Ramsey County and Saint Paul. This pass does not include machine-made snow trails at Battle Creek Regional Park.

Daily natural snow pass | $6 |
Youth 12 years and younger | Free |
If your skier is registered for a Battle Creek SkiSparks Club:
- Skiers (13 and older), as well as skiing volunteers need the All-Access Pass. See discount options below.
- Level 1 Parents or other volunteers on foot, do not need a ski pass.
If your skier is registered for Como, Tamarack, Lake Phalen, Irondale or a Highland 9 SkiSparks Club:
- Skiers (13 and over), as well as skiing volunteers need the Natural Snow Pass.
- HOWEVER: The backup location for your club, in case of low snow, is Battle Creek. If your club decides to move a session to Battle Creek, skiers (youth 13+ and adults) will need an All-Access Pass. See discount options below.
- If you are not interested in skiing at Battle Creek, even if there is no snow at your club location, then follow the Natural Snow Pass guidelines above.
If your skier is registered for a Lake Elmo SkiSparks Club:
- The backup location for your club, in case of low snow, is Battle Creek. If your club decides to move a session to Battle Creek, skiers (youth 13+ and adults) will need an All-Access Pass. See discount options below.
- Level 1 Parents or other volunteers on foot, do not need a ski pass.
MyXC Discount for the All-Access Pass:
There is a $40 discount available to offset the "All-Access Pass" for the following people. This is only helpful for the first pass in a household, because additional passes are already discounted to the $40 price.
- Registered skier 13 and over
- Leadership Team Member
- Registered Coach or Assistant Coach (NOT junior coach nor sweeper)
