Welcome to the MYXC SkiSparks at Giants Ridge in BIWABIK!
Our club was organized to bring the joy of cross-country skiing to skiers aged 5 to 15. The Giants Ridge Cross-Country Ski Club is organized by volunteer coordinators and coaches.
When: Join us Saturday mornings 11:00am - 12:00pm. Eight sessions: Jan. 3, 17, 24, 31, Feb. 7, 14, 28. The first class will run longer for equipment fitting & new skier orientation.
Where: Giants Ridge Timing Building (directly across from the hotel - at the base of the ski hill).
What: Fun and Games on skis, basic skill development. Children earn snowflake pins as they advance in their skill levels.
Cost:- $40 = MYXC membership
- $15 = Giants Ridge trail pass. This is a group rate for use ONLY during our club sessions. Skiers 6 and under do NOT need a pass.
- $25 = MYXC equipment rental for the season.
- Proof (printed receipts) of MYXC payment & Giants Ridge Waiver completion is required.
Waiver: Every skier MUST access Giants Ridge's waiver and electronically fill it out via the Giants Ridge website. Choose the Daily Alpine Lift & Cross-Country Trail Pass Agreement Release of Liability, Indemnification, and Waiver of Legal Rights. Giants Ridge staff will be checking each skier has completed the waiver.
- Equipment: Skis/boots/poles are available on a first come basis for use during class, or you can rent equipment and take home.
- Proof (printed receipts) of MYXC payment is required.
Early Equipment Pick-up: Families that rent for the season may pick up equipment Sunday 12/10/2023, 2pm-3pm at the Giants Ridge Timing Building. $50 check written to MyXC is required to rent equipment. Checks will be returned when equipment is returned at the end of the season.
Parents: Any help with the program is appreciated! Volunteer help is necessary to run the program. Volunteer Registration with MyXC and Abuse Prevent Training through MYXC is required.
