Welcome to MYSL at WILLOW RIVER STATE PARK, HUDSON, WI
The club meets for 8 weeks just outside of Hudson, WI at Willow River State Park on Sundays from 1:45 to 4:00 p.m., Starting January 7th through February 25, 2024.

Equipment
We have some great equipment for skiers to rent for a nominal fee - $55 for the entire season. This equipment can be taken home and used for family outings. We have a limited number of ski packages and sizes, so register early. If you paid for rental equipment online but were not able to be outfitted, you will be reimbursed for the fees. Our rental skis are classic no-wax skis. We do not have skate ski equipment available on a rental basis.
For our youngest Level 1 skiers, snow boot skis are allowed but highly discouraged as they do not provide adequate grip and glide. Level 1 do not use poles. Level 2 uses poles for the last two or three sessions. Skate skiing begins with level 5. We do not have any skate equipment for rent, so please find equipment before the season starts.
Families who have rented skis will be contacted to schedule a time to pick up their rental equipment. When you pick up your skis, please bring all kids who are renting equipment so they can try everything on to ensure a good fit. Please have them wear/bring thick socks.
Announcements
A current Wisconsin State Park sticker is required on all vehicles; they are available at the park office. Come early on January 7th if you need to purchase a park sticker, register, ask questions, etc.
- We always meet, regardless of snow conditions or temperature; activities are planned according to weather.
- Bring skis even if there’s not much snow. We manage to get on skis at the park even when there is no snow in your front yard.
- Children should be dressed and ready to ski when they arrive. Please have at least one parent from each family join us each week - your ski skills won't be an issue and your child(ren) will gain an appreciation of skiing as a lifelong family activity.
- Children under 7 years old must have a parent with them on the snow.
Volunteers are needed for coaching and support roles. As our club grows, volunteers are key to its continued success and affordability. Please check off a volunteer category when you register or call to see what is needed. Coaches receive instructional materials (enthusiasm is more important than advanced skiing skills for most of our coaching positions).
